A quick drive this afternoon produced 4 Short-eared Owls in the bright sunlight.  They seemed happy and in good health in the -20 temperature, obviously finding lots of rodents to eat.  At one point a Bald Eagle flew over and two of the owls flew up to harass it until it left the area.

They brought in the best eyes in the business to confirm no one is trespassing
