A family of Mule Deer visited the Thompson Rivers University campus last week and I had my camera at work with me.
While raptor watching last Saturday afternoon, there was a sow Black Bear and 3 cubs dozing in a tree a sort ways from us. All 4 looked to be in great condition. Lots of Mule Deer (8), many Muskrats, and several Coyotes in the area in the last week. The deer were not being held back by the fences 🙂
The nature club from the school where I work had a short field trip yesterday afternoon to try to see some of the resident Bighorn Sheep here in Kamloops. We eventually found two rams bedding down high on a ridge.
This guy was wondering through the Alfalfa field near the road last week.
The Coyotes were out hunting in the fresh snow this afternoon Nov. 5, 2017. A minimum of 3 along Shuswap Road and South Thompson River from the Yellowhead Highway to the LaFarge Rd. Bridge.
