A return of winter last night put a damper on things but my daughter and I still had a nice afternoon of birding. Edith Lake Road was not passable part ways up due to drifting snow. The road grader was arriving as we were leaving…. There were no stand out birds today but a few new ones for the year including Say’s Phoebe and some of the waterfowl. Any reasonably sized pond without ice is loaded with ducks waiting for more water to open up. The birds and the people are waiting for Spring!
