While visiting family in western Washington, USA for 4 days I was able to visit this wonderful national wildlife refuge twice. The first time I covered the boardwalk area out on the tidal mudflats at high tide and the trails to and from there. The second time I focused on the boardwalk trails in the forest areas only. Lots of birds and some beautiful weather as well. This is the report for the first day.
