My family and I spent New Years near family in Washington State, USA. I was able to bird the nearby Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge two times during our stay. The first time I covered the tidal dike and tidal boardwalk areas. The second time I covered the forest areas, parking lot, and a small part of the tidal dike. In addition to the birds, I was also able to see a single Black-tailed Mule Deer and several Eastern Grey Squirrels.
