Separation Lake Birding April 4, 2021

Just over half of Separation Lake is still frozen but opening up quickly now. The waterfowl is stacked in the areas of open water and makes for easy sorting through with a scope because they are all in several places. Two Bald Eagles were trying to pluck up Coots when I arrived. I was hoping to watch this but it was happening partially out of my view and ended soon after I arrived.

Ducks stacked up in small open areas.
