River Otters can be seen in and around Kamloops. Last weekend I had the privilege of being at the end of a water channel and seeing two of them heading my way. We moved into a shaded area to break up our outline and waiting quietly while they moved towards us diving for fish. One of them came part ways out of the water but was unfortunately quite far away. They ended up right in front of us where only getting head shots was possible with me not being about to zoom out with my fixed lens. Such a cool experience!
