It is not every day that you notice a Weasel (probably Long-tailed Weasel) in a Swallow nest box. It must have went in there after the young swallows. The parents watched helplessly and put on a diving display every time it popped its head out of the hole but the feather in the one photo probably sums up what happened best.

Funny indeed…but let’s hope the nest was empty!!

I can’t be sure but the parents were quite upset… the feather sticking out of the hole and the fact that it was in there for more than 30 minutes all point towards a negative outcome for the young.
