I had a very small window of time this afternoon to have a quick check at Separation Lake. On sight, I quickly set up my scope to scan the back pond. The first bird I saw was a Marbled Godwit so I didn’t look at another bird for the rest of the 40 minutes I was there! The Kamloops area is not within its normal summer breeding range east of the Rockies so this one is lost or taking a strange way there. Either way, what a treat to see this afternoon here. Separation Lake strikes again!
