A friend of a friend noticed this Barred Owl roosting in a local city park this afternoon. I received a text with an image that clearly showed a Barred Owl. The park is located near where I had to pick up my kids after work so I conveniently brought my camera along. When I arrived it was sleeping and when I left it was just beginning to move around in preparation for hunting after dark. It was fun to be there when it woke up and started looking and moving around. Always a good owl to see in the Kamloops area, generally not common.
